Merry Christmas everyone 🎄🎄💚
First of all I just wanted to say… how fast the time goes! I mean I remember xmas 2019 like it was yesterday and boom…. one year gone. when? how? Is is just me feeling this way, or the time really disappears in a blink of an eye…?? 🤔 I’m telling you, we won’t even realise how fast we find ourselves undressing the xmas tree 🤣🙈 but I’m not trying to kill the festive spirits here. 🙈 I guess, me talking about the time flying comes mainly from the fact, I had so many things I’ve promised myself I’ll finish before Christmas, and none of them are done, or even worse… none of them are started yet ! That’s it….my first post in the new year is going to be about “Time Management” and how to become more efficient, and I promise I will follow it 😉😜
But now going back to xmas. Not sure about you but I’m kinda excited for the quiet, low key Christmas this year. As you know I’m not going back home, to celebrate with my whole family this year. Instead I’m staying in London and am planning on catching up with readings. I was so naughty this year…I bought like 10 books and was so excited to read them all but somehow managed to finish only 4 🙈 shame on me! So that’s my plan. Mug of hot chocolate, comfy PJs all day long, and reading 📚.
What are your plans for the holidays?? Whatever you have planned I hope you will enjoy 💚. But just in case, you haven’t planned anything but don’t really fancy wasting time on doing nothing, I’m giving you some movie and book recommendations. The books I focused on are uplifting, positive and motivational. These are my two favourite. The movies, are also on a positive note, comedies, action, and one of my favourite Bollywood films. Btw, if you haven’t yet seen any Bollywood movie, you simply must do it asap. Trust me, you won’t regret it. They are always full of action, dance (yes dance, pretty much every Bollywood film is a musical, but not your typical Hollywood musical, which btw I’m not a big fan of), drama, and handsome actors… oops, did I say that out loud? 🙊Anyway, I hope you will find something interesting 😉, now I’m off to bake a cake :))
With nothing more to say… I wish you all lots of love, joy and peace over the holiday season. 🌟🌟
Love, Basia 💚
SHOP THE LOOK :
WHAT TO READ :
this book talks about law of attraction through the process of ‘like attracts like’, and how positive thinking can magnetise happiness, health and wealth
WHAT TO WATCH :
“YES MAN” (10/10) : my favourite comedy of all. Positive, uplifting and in the end will leave you feeling like you should live you life more adventurously. Let’s be honest, we all only live once so let’s say ‘yes’ to living the life to the fullest!
“BILLY ELLIOT” (10/10) : very inspiring story, I recommend watching it if you feel like giving up on your dreams (btw.. never give up! 💪😉) the story talks about 11-year old boy who, despite his farther objections desires to become a ballet dancer.
“KABHI KHUSHI KABHIE GHAM” (10/10) : first Bollywood movie I watched, and still my favourite despite of the fact I’ve seen it 5-6 times (btw, each time I cried…happy tears tough). The story is about Rahul, a son of rich couple, that is banished by his family after marrying a woman his father disapproves of.
“OCEAN’S ELEVEN” (8/10) : great action, crime comedy. One of the gangster movies I really enjoyed watching. The plot is about a fresh out of prison guy, who gathers a group of eleven people in order to steal money from casinos in Las Vegas.
“THE HOLIDAY” (7/10) : perfect romantic comedy for the Christmassy period. I laughed a lot…and cried…a little (gosh, I’m too emotional when watching movies 🙈) during the film. The plot is about two women from USA and UK who exchange their homes for the holidays.
“THE SCHOOL OF ROCK” (7/10) : great comedy for a lazy afternoon to watch with whole family, or to watch on your own, if you don’t have kids yet 😜. The movie is about a rock enthusiast, who decides to take on a teaching job without having any qualifications. He, then realises his students’ musical talent and forms a rock band.
